Pam O’Loughlin has been friends with Jill & Ian Terry since 1999, first meeting in the UK through their love of dogs, in particular the Canaan Dog. When Jill & Ian moved to Fuerteventura at the beginning of 2017, it wasn’t long after that, that Pam returned to her home country of Ireland.
Fast forward to 2025 and Pam had had enough of the constant rain and politics of her beloved country, and had thoughts of moving to Fuerteventura. Visiting Jill & Ian she fell in love with the island, and after lots of talks the three decided to pool together and get a place where they could both have a separate section. Unfortunately, there was just nothing available that was suitable in Fuerteventura, so they decided to spread their wings to the Spanish mainland.
Whilst they looked at different areas in the South of Spain, Jill and Ian kept being drawn to Almeria, where they had visited only a couple of times. Anyway, to cut a long story short, they found an old finca north of Huércal-Overa, and in March 2026 completed their purchase and moved in.

So, why this website?
Well, Jill has been addicted to creating and developing websites since 1999 (a magical year!), building websites professionally up until she retired in 2023. But, being addicted, she simply carried on building but as a hobby.
After moving to Almeria, they were researching all sorts of things about the area; things to do, where to eat, places to visit, and, most importantly, traders to help them renovate their old finca. So, in order to not waste this information, and to keep it somewhere they can find it, Jill, of course, said, “let’s build a website!”. And so they did LOL!
